I'm not a big audio buff although I have dreamed of doing my own podcast if I had the time. There are times however when I want to do something special with audio. Like when I wanted to add a special message to my son Svnoytawod and I's "theme song". It's a great Will Smith song that came out around the time he was born and I think of him and my other boys whenever I hear it. In those instances an audio editor is needed. The kind folks at Ambrosia sent me an email stating that WireTap and WireTap Pro would no longer be supported and wanted to know if I wanted to give Studio a go. I accepted and have to say that's it's quite nice for novices such as myself.
There is still a learning curve as some of the interface confuses me, but I'm sure if you are into audio more than I you won't have much of a problem. To do my project I just clicked record on the floating window, spoke my special message and then started playing the song in iTunes. Once it was done I clicked stop and it made a pretty nice mp3 file with both of them together. Too nice in a way as it picked up every noise that the computer across the room makes as well.
All in all if you are into audio and want a quick, easy, and pretty proffessional way of getting your audio made as this is great for podcasters; I would choose WireTap Studio. No Hands Down.
