Have you ever wanted a way to capture your favorite quotes from DVDs that you watch on your Mac? Have you ever wanted a quick and easy way to just record a dictation of yourself for a game mod you are working on or just for fun? Your wait is now over. WireTap Pro is your all-purpose digital recording device that will record anything with just a simple click of a button. And it even works with some nifty gadgets such as the radioSHARK.
WTP not only records what you want. It will also record it into the format that you want. It will save your digital recordings in mp3, AAC, AIFF, QuickTime, or mpeg4. And as we said before it is more than simple to use.
First you pick the way you want to input the recording. By choosing the speaker graphic you can record any and all sounds from within your Mac. Next to that is a Microphone graphic. If you choose that you can record all external sound using your mic. You can adjust the sound volume of your mic next to that.
Below that are three useful buttons. The first is a scheduler which will use iCal to set up timed recordings off the net for you. Next is the preferences button; with this you set the default perameters of the app. Lastly is the Audio File Format Settings buttonf. This is where you select the type of format you want to save your sound as and how you want to record it.

I would advise anyone to go to Ambrosia and check out this great application. Also if you had been using the non-Pro version that was released a year or two ago, you can continue to use the Pro version for free. The only drawback is that a "soundstamp" is placed onto files that use features that were unavailable to the non-Pro version.
