 Every now and then a simple yet very useful product comes our way. And it has happened yet again with the creation of iSeek.
iSeek may not seem like much at first glance, but it helps to make you more productive by taking away some of the clicking and typing necessary when searching the internet. How do you use it? Very simple.
First you click on the magnifying glass icon within iSeeks search window which will be installed into your menubar. Select the destination you want (there are MANY search engines to choose from). Then type in your search phrase and hit enter.
Whala!! It then opens your browser with the chosen search within it. No more going to your favorite search site, you can just search from your desktop. You can also add search engines to iSeek either manually (if you know what you are doing) or via a link on a webpage. Thus far I have found only one place to offer that option. Xicons offered an iSeek link the day after it was released. Needless to say I was a happy camper as I visit that site often. Now if only IconFactory would do the same thing.
iSeek is fast, simple, and extraordinarily useful. There is no way I could live without this handy-dandy utility anymore. Hopefully iSeek will be Panther-ready as I'm hoping to upgrade in the near future. If not, I'm sure Ambrosia will be fast to fix it as they have a wonderful support staff. Now what are you waiting for? Hurry on over to Ambrosia and seek out iSeek. It'll be the best money you ever spent.
UPATE: I was saddened when this would not work in Panther. With the release of v1.0.2 this has been recified. It's great to be able to use one of the best and most unique programs out there once again.
