Have you ever been typing and thought to yourself: "How do I type a division symbol?" With so many "hidden" characters within a font it is hard to remember all the key combinations to use and for which characters.
Well, fret no more! PopChar X can type it for you. All you have to do is click on it's icon in the menubar and it's window will come down. You then just select the font you are using in the pull down menu and... whala! All the characters of that particular typeface are displayed. You then just click on the character you want in your application and PopChar will insert it for you. It will also display the key combination needed to type that character in the lower right corner of it's window.
Because of it's simplicity and ease of use this review will not be quite large. BUT this application is a must have for anyone who deals with fonts on a daily basis. There are many font utilities out there, but this one is the leader of the pack!
UPDATE #1: Version 3 of PopChar X is spectacular! It's much easier to choose the font you want and ALL characters are shown. This truly the gold standard of font utility apps. For that reason I am upgrading it's status to the Golden Apple.
