MacPAR deLuxe is a wonderful application for those people who lurk the newsgroups. This program will essentially rebuild a file that was segmented even if you are missing segments or some are corrupt. You need as many par (or par2) files as you have missing/corrupted segments to do this. For those people still on dial-up connections this program is a godsend. I know that my digital life wouldn't be complete without it.
You can also create par files for use on newsgroups with this application. It is extremely easy to use and the developer himself is very friendly. I reported a bug in v2.3 where it wouldn't open in OS X.1.x and he had it fixed within a couple days and released v2.3.1! So, do yourself a favor and check this out.
