This is where we will highlight software that we feel no Mac afficianado can do without. If you are a software developer, or know of an application you feel should be spot-lighted, then drop us a line through the contact page. What do we consider a "Must Have App"? Here is our definition:
A must have application is one that increases productivity and is used on a regular basis. There are three ways an application may do this; 1. Increase work flow, 2. Enhance the users GUI experience, or 3. Enhance or simplify the users gaming experience. These applications are ones the user will use time and time again and will update frequently without regard to cost.
Our rating system is based on the apple. To understand what each score means please reference the chart to the upper right. There is no such thing as a poor application here in the MacNation reviews. Each program we review is a piece of art in the computer world in different degrees of great. So a score of 1 apple still means it is worth the money spent on it. If you are one of the developers that I did a review for you can pick up a ratings packet here. This has photoshop and jpg files of our various ratings. Choose what you want to use, put in on your product page and link it to the appropriate review page here.
If you are a developer that would like us to review your product just send us an email through the contact page. A word of note before you do, we require a free NFR unlock code to review products. This helps us keep up-to-date with your product with little or no fuss, unlock all there is in your application, and get rid of nag dialogs. We will NOT review a product without a code. The applications that are currently featured can be found by clicking on the year links in the navigation sidebar.
